professional footballer plays as a striker for Serie A club Napoli and for the Nigeria national team
and has shown remarkable performances throughout the year.
The women’s “Player of the Year” award went to @asisat_oshoala .She is also a Nigerian
professional footballer who plays as a striker for Spanish Liga F club Barcelona and the Nigeria
women’s football team.
Recognizing the promising talent emerging in African football, the “Youth Player of the Year”
award was presented to Lamine Camara. At only 20, the Senegalese 🇸🇳 rising star has
demonstrated exceptional skill, playing as an attacking midfielder for Ligue 1 club Metz and the
Senegal national team.
The men’s “Coach of the Year” award celebrated the remarkable achievements of Walid
Regragui. He is a Moroccan 🇲🇦 professional football manager and former player, who has played a
pivotal role in his team’s success. The women’s “Coach of the Year” award went to Desiree Ellis.
This South African soccer manager and also former player has demonstrated strategic prowess
and leadership that has left an indelible mark on South African soccer.
The “Club of the Year” award was presented to Al Ahly FC. This recognition reflected the
Egyptian 🇪🇬 club’s outstanding performances, and triumphs in domestic and continental
competitions.
The men’s and women’s “Team of the Year” awards went to the Morocco national football team
and Nigeria 🇳🇬 Women’s national football team respectively. Both teams’ collective efforts and
