A Nigerian lady is counting her blessings after making a significant move – purchasing a duplex just three months after deciding to vacate her shop due to the landlord imposing a hefty N500K increase in rent.
In a revealing TikTok video shared by @thiasradiant_ng, the resilient businesswoman detailed her journey, explaining the circumstances that led to her leaving the shop and opting to continue her business operations from home.
Initially paying N900,000, she found herself compelled to move out as the landlord abruptly increased the rent to N1.4 million without any consideration.
The TikTok video captures her transition, showing workers assisting her in packing her belongings. She disclosed that the rent escalation came after her landlord noticed the success of her business.
Despite the setback, the woman’s business not only survived but thrived. Remarkably, within just three months of operating her business from home, she achieved the milestone of purchasing a duplex.
Captioning the video, she shared, “I moved my stuff back to my house, but God was not done with me. Business was booming, and within three months, we bought a duplex for my business.”
