My trip to Zamfara howbeit short, was quite eye opening and nostalgic in a sense. I had never been so far up north so it felt really good to have been able to reach certain ends of Nigeria. I really just wished that the unrest in the state will be squarely addressed by the Nigerian government. Hopefully, I’ll be able to go check out the hippos, other culturally and historically rich sites in Zamfara sometime soon.
