  1. l think Nigerian leaders have forgotten the importance of public bus garages/parks.Every area should have public garage and markets and move these people from the road,it will transform the city.Even rubbish can be contained and cleaned within the parks instead of dilapidated the entire city.Nice one though, thank you.

  2. What changes? Unmarked roads with no traffic signs. Parked cars blocking both sides of the road leaving only the middle usable. No attention to aesthetics, what flipping changes? Friend, do yourself a favour, google and see how Kisumu Kenya looks- a small town in a poor African country and compare with almighty Igbo. Maybe, just maybe, we are not as good as we Igbo purport to be.

  3. i just hate how useless sucessive Enugu state gov'ts have allowed all colonial and Okpara-era residences to be demolished and replaced with the usual 'modern mansion' nonsense hidden behind high perimeter walls. this was done by greedy top gov't officials with no class and plenty stolen funds, who had connections and found it easy to acquire those old properties to demolish.

as a child, i remember going to one of those Okpara-era commissioners quarters on a family visit. i loved the achitecture of the building: it was longish in nature and had many rooms, and also had lots of huge glass windows that gave natural light to the inside of the building. i gather the Israelis built them together with the gov't house and parliament building.

the colonial character of old GRA and independence layout have been ruined by replacing those buildings with these new 'modern mansions' that lack character and history. i went to Ekulu primary school, and i was livid with anger when i saw how Ugwuanyi had robbed the school of its colonial character and history all in the name of 'renovation! the fool completely ruined the building housing the headmstresses office, the adjoining hall that was used for morning assembly pre-independence, as well as the long building next to it and the toilets that faced the headmistresses office building.
