The Nigerian Army has confirmed the death of two officers and four soldiers in an ambush in Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State.
Director of Army Public Relations, Major General Onyema Nwachukwu, said in a statement that the troops were ambushed while on a patrol to Karaga Village in Shiroro Local Government Area.
According to the statement, the ambushed troops fought and eliminated several of the terrorists as well as captured some of their equipment.
