Prof. Ben Nwabueze, a constitutional lawyer and former Secretary-General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, has sadly passed away at the age of 94.

Nwabueze, who hailed from Atani in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State and held the prestigious title of Senior Advocate of Nigeria, was born in 1931.

A close family source confirmed that he passed away on Sunday evening in his home.

Chief Damian Okeke-Ogene, the Vice-President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, also confirmed the news of his death. He expressed that Nwabueze will be greatly missed for his selfless service and dedication to the progress of Nigeria.

Okeke-Ogene stated, โ€œIt is a significant loss for both Nigeria and the Igbo nation. Nwabueze was a highly respected constitutional lawyer and an excellent minister. He was renowned for his vocal nature and commitment to establishing an anti-corruption system.โ€

โ€œIndeed, his invaluable contributions played a crucial role in shaping the entire legal system in Nigeria.โ€
