Today, I express my solidarity with the global community as we observe United Nations Day. This is a moment to acknowledge the essential role played by the United Nations in promoting worldwide peace and security, nurturing friendly relationships among nations, and advocating for social progress, improved living standards, and human rights. The United Nations was established at a historic juncture when the world united in its quest to achieve and sustain peace. It stands on four crucial pillars: Peace and Security, Human Rights, The Rule of Law, and Development.

These principles form the bedrock of any progressive nation. Unfortunately, these foundations are currently lacking in our beloved Nigeria. As we work towards building a New Nigeria, it is imperative that we earnestly establish peace and security, safeguard human rights, and unwaveringly uphold the rule of law in our nation. By doing so, we will lay the foundation for a progressive and developed country, enabling us to rightfully claim our position among the community of nations.

A new Nigeria marked by peace and security is both possible and within our grasp. -PO
