Dear Palki, please stop making it appear as if ECOWAS is the enemy here, because they are not. The initial stance of the economic bloc is to discourage military rule, which we in West Africa knows to well to be a draconian option to governance, however, after careful evaluation of the geopilitical implications of an attack on a supposed "erring" state, the ECOWAS took a delaying stance, so as not to play into the hands of trigger happy French & American interests, who are just waiting for the right excuse to escalate the situation and reverse back to the status quo.
West African government, who are not under French influence are not unmindful of the evil post colonial policies of France in her former colonies and the excuses given by these coup plotters, resonates clearly with them, as it is clear that despite the heavy presence of the Western Armies in these countries, terrorism is far from abating & they are getting richer and fatter.
