INEC Nasarawa state held first consultative meeting with CSOs, where the Hon REC Alhaji Shehu L wahab noted that the meeting mark the beginning of a process in the commissions effort to enhance their participation in the commissions activities. At the meeting which had 18 CSOs (including NCWS, and FORMWAN) in attendance, the REC reminded the CSOs of their core duties and responsibilities not only in the electoral process but also in democracy generally. He appealed to the CSOs to remain non partisans and appreciate the sensitive and the complex nature of Nasarawa state at all times. All the CSOs pledged their support to INEC in its mandate of deepening democratic practice through transparent and diligent prosecution of electoral activities in the state.
