While this work is ongoing. I think Akwa Ibom State government could dualize about 10km of this road from Ikot Ekpene city centre and do the same for Aba road in Ikot Ekpene. While FGN progresses construction/Dualization of Calabar – Itu – Ikot Ekpene – Aba road. Surely, the subsidy removal and increased tax collections across the country can be channeled to transport infrastructure across the country

This is a major federal government road, so FG ought to have dualize this road.

More than 8 years the road still how it was when I left. I was there 8 months ago, from Ariam, ekebedi to amawom still the same bad spot.
Nothing has been done in this road, just like Aba to P/H and some idiots are wondering why igbos are agitating for seperation
nd somebody wants to seat as a Governor moving with lots of security and this is the state of the road rubbish
This road and roads like this should be state,even local govt. road not federal,that is part of the problem in Nigeria that's holding back progress.lf Federal must build roads,it should be roads that connect capital to capital…There is a federal road from uyo to uhmuhia, it should be up to the states to connect this two places not federal.
Why do they keep giving major projects to unknown contractors? there are more experienced companies that could have handled this road.
After seeing this eyesore before it was "fixed"…where are the coonsequences towards the so called contractor?
Some structures (houses, shops, fences) need to be demolished. The road is not wide enough, but it's nice to know that work is ongoing
Working of roads every 8yrs is the only achievement of Nigeria government. What about electricity fre health care and fre education industry and employment?

In a very rich government, look at what we have a rumbled roads, very impoverished 190 million people, very poor infrastructures,candy as well, we have very thievery looting top crooky politicians in the hem of the country.
The Akwa Ibom Ikot Ekpene part of the road is very alright, but the Umuahia area of the road is very rumbled muddy and destructive to vehicles. Umuahia being a State Capital, should have been cared for both by Abia State and the federal government. What a neglect???
What's the difference for the 13 billions spent ? Failed stste.
