Hillsborough River State Park is a really nice place to hike and explore along the Hillsborough River. You can see and hear the roar of the rapids as the water flows along the bluffs of the river. A trail leads over a historical suspension bridge built during the Great Depression in the early 1900’s. The Civilian Conservation Corps constructed structures such as the bridge, trails and recreational areas around this area of the river. It became a public park and now today is one of Florida’s best state parks. I enjoy hiking along the trails seeing the wildlife and taking in the views of the river. It’s a wild place that takes you back to old Florida. Enjoy the adventure and thank you for watching!

The Hillsborough River is the primary source of drinking water for the City of Tampa. It forms in the tranquil Green Swamp and from here, it travels 54 miles to Florida’s largest open-water estuary, Tampa Bay. Along the way, it passes through rural portions of Pasco, Polk and Hillsborough counties then into residential neighborhoods, a 1,300-acre reservoir and an urban landscape of concrete seawalls and industry. As all rivers do, the Hillsborough River shares an intimate connection with its watershed.

wow, what beautiful opening scenery, that river park is gorgeous, its awesome we get to see different areas through our videos from each other, was that a croc/gator sleeping or ?, cool oak & cypress trees, and the prayer awesome, this video had it all, great job, thanks for sharing.
I've been there many times. Taking a canoe down Hillsborough River is a wonderful experience. You can canoe downriver from there to Dead River Park and then if you are really adventurous you can go downriver from Dead Rover Park to Jonhn B Seargent Park. The section between Dead River and John Be Seargent Park is hard to navigate, that is the only section I have not been been on. Then you can leave John B Seargent Park and head down river to Morris Bridge State Park which is a stunning trip. Then down river from there to Trout Creek State Park which is also stunning and in the heart of the forest. Then down river from there to Lettice Lake State Park and then down river from there to Rotary River Park but that section is heading into houses away from the park areas. Its really nice to have that wilderness area when you live in Tampa or around Tampa. Its all so close to a lot of city. Thank you for your videos. God bless you.

I saw a panther on the Seminole hiking trail along the river.
Camping there in April. Really looking forward to it now after seeing this vid.
