Sokoto is the first State to receive food distribution from the country’s Strategic Reserves, as directed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. On April 7, 2024, I joined my colleagues, the Minister and Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, as part of a Federal Government delegation, to present the State’s allocation to Governor Ahmad Aliyu Sokoto.
We are committed to ensuring that the food reaches the people for whom it is intended, and working closely with the States and with security agencies in this regard. Rest assured that every State in the country will benefit from the distribution.
