The Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has approved the sum of one billion Naira for the training of basic-level teachers across the 27 local councils of Borno State.
He made the disclosure during the inauguration of local government education secretaries and allocation of 58 Hilux trucks and Cars in Maiduguri.
Governor Zulum said over 1000 O-level teachers will also participate, the training.
While recounting the destructions on educational facilities by Boko Haram terrorists across the state which worsened the number of out-of-school children, he said his administration’s progress over the years had dropped the numbers from 2 million to 850.
