… Urges TT to live together in love and harmony

The magnificent wedding of Ayooluwatomiwa Ajayi and Oluwatomisin Oguntola, a ceremony full with elegance and splendour captured through love, fun-fair, and photography, has delighted guests from Ibadan, Lagos, and the Diaspora who have slightly gone head over heels.

Both groom and bride wore not just one, but two breathtaking dresses on their special day – a timeless and unique gown and suit, and a stunning, custom-made dress oozing great style.

The wedding of Tomisin and Tomiwa (TT), which was held on Saturday at The Event Centre Limited in Ikeja, Lagos, was meticulously planned and executed to reflect the couple’s love story.

A statement signed by aide of the deputy governor on Public Affairs, Oyedeji Ahmed, indicated that men of Timber and Calibre as well as Oyo top government functionaries were among those present for the solemnization of Holy Matrimony between TT.

The elaborate wedding which was the talk of the town also had in attendance note worthy figures including the deputy governor of Oyo state, Barrister Abdul-Raheem Adebayo Lawal and his wife, Mrs Ajibike Ajibola Lawal who made the ceremony spectacular and glamorous with their presence.

The deputy governor, Bayo Lawal, congratulated the couple and gave them advice on how to live together in harmony and peace, emphasising that they were obligated to love and tolerate one another.

He added that they have a lot of discretion to manage in the marriage and that they should be aware of the time whenever they go for work as well as have a better grasp of each other’s whereabouts.

Lawal encouraged the couple to take after their parents in laying a strong foundation for their marriage through their devotion to God.

He equally praised the groom’s father, Professor Adesola Ajayi, who is the Vice Chancellor of Technical University, (TECH- U), for being a deserving man of note and an engineer who doesn’t just put things together but works it out and has also laid a good foundation for success.

He said: “Since you are TT, you must coexist in harmony and have a great deal of discretion to manage in your marriage.

“ Now that you will be living together, you must be mindful of your time as a couple. Go to work when you leave home, and be back by 4 o’clock. Both of you must be able to communicate with one another and be aware of one another’s movements at all times.

“You need to be mindful of who you associate with and where you go to. And if you are the type that club, you must henceforth stop that because you are now married and must be responsible.

The deputy governor added, “There’s no way you won’t encounter challenges, but since God is the cornerstone of your marriage, you will undoubtedly overcome them just as your parents did.

“So, on behalf of Governor Seyi Makinde, who ordinarily should have been present, I wish Ajayi and Ogunlana’s family well, especially the newlyweds, and prays that their union would be a happy one.

“I also ask God to bless the couple with healthy children, including twins, and I wish everyone who came to celebrate with them safe trips back to their respective homes”. He said.

The event was attended by Oyo government top functionaries including the Honorable Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, Prof. Musibaudeen Babatunde; Commissioner for Public Works, Infrastructure and Transport, Prof. Daud Kehinde & Wife; Commissioner for Education Science and Technology, Prof. Abdul-Waheed Soliu; Special Assistant to the Deputy Governor on Administration, Alhaji Kunle Sani; Former Housing Board Member, Elder Adekola, Yeye Remi-Olarinde Adenike and host of others.
