The Nigerian Military’s Operation Safe Haven has rebutted claims of its soldiers shooting innocent civilians during recent attacks in Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State. Emphasizing its commitment to neutrality and justice, the Special Task Force reiterated its dedication to maintaining peace and security in the state.

Major Samson Zhakom, the Media Officer of Operation Safe Haven, addressed the allegations in a press statement, dismissing viral petitions from the Coalition of Bokkos Ethnic Youth Nationalities. The coalition accused soldiers of exacerbating the vulnerability of Bokkos residents by shooting civilians. Operation Safe Haven underscored its pledge to impartiality and transparency in its peacekeeping efforts.
