AKWA IBOM STATE GOVT HOLDS THANKSGIVING SERVICE
For witnessing a peaceful, credible and transparent elections leading to a seamless inauguration of a new administration, the Akwa Ibom State Government will hold an inter-denominational thanksgiving Service this Sunday, June 11, 2023, at Ibom Hall Grounds.
The thanksgiving service with the theme ” Oh Give Thanks to the Lord” drawn from Psalm 107:1 will have famous Akwa Ibom gospel singers, Bobby Friga and Aity Dennis as featured guest artistes and is slated to start by 12 noon.
According to a release by the Secretary to the State Government and Chairman, Central Planning Committee, Prince Enobong Uwah, the event is meant to afford the people of the State, opportunity to thank God for a peaceful transition process.
“The thanksgiving service is our own way of saying to that same God, thank you for standing by us, thank you for giving us such a massive victory at the March 18 governorship election, thank you for a seamless transition in Akwa Ibom State”, he said.
