In a bid to cushion the impact of the harsh economy on civil servants in Abia dtate, the state government says it will be sharing the 24,000 bags of 25kg rice out of the expected 60,000 already received to those on grade levels 1 to 7.
The Abia State Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu disclosed this after the weekly state executive council meeting at government house, Umuahia.Kanu says civil servants on grade level 8 to 10 will also benefit from the more than 13,650 bags of 25kg of grains, and 3,196 bags of 25kg of garri being expected.
