The All Progressives Congress’ National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, advised the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, to wait until President Bola Tinubu’s second term ends in 2031 to pursue their presidential aspirations.

Ganduje made this statement in response to the Supreme Court’s decision on Thursday.

The apex court upheld President Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election, putting to rest opposition parties’ claims of voting manipulation in favor of Tinubu.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Edwin Olofu, Ganduje stated, “Nigeria belongs to all of us; it is our responsibility as patriots to pool our resources together to move the country forward.”

He also congratulated both Atiku and Obi for their relentless fight in expanding the frontiers of democracy and the rule of law.

“Tinubu’s victory is another triumph for democratic rule in the country,” Ganduje added.

Furthermore, he declared, “There is still room for both Obi and Atiku to realize their presidential aspirations after President Tinubu’s second term ends in 2031.”

Ganduje urged Nigerians, regardless of their political affiliations, to unite and support the President in delivering more dividends of democracy and leading the country towards sustained progress.
