The US got itself in this thousand years of conflict. You don't provoke tensions and call it self-defense.
American military personnel present on Syrian territory without the approval of the UN Security Council and the invitation of the Syrian government are illegally there, where they are engaged in robbery and oil theft, and are certainly subject to liquidation.
