A constable with the Benue State Police Command, Belasa Iyenge has been fired for raping a 16-year-old girl, who was in jail. Under the guise of assisting the hapless girl, the constable entered the cell, took her to an office, and had carnal knowledge of her. The molested girl reported the misdeed to the DPO. The constable is already facing prosecution at the magistrates court, Makurdi, the state capital.
