Nasarawa To Go First As Supreme Court Delivers Judgment In The Governorship Appeals Of Six States

The states are Gombe, Delta, Nasarawa, Kebbi, Ogun, Kaduna.

The court has mentioned that it would kick off with that of Nasarawa and Delta states, before going into others. Present in court are Nasarawa state governor Abdulai Sule, former APC Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu, and Umar Tanko Alamkura amongst other dignitaries.

In the Nasarawa appeal, David Ombugadu, the governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is challenging the Court of Appeal decision affirming Abdullahi Sule of the All Progressives Congress as governor of Nasarawa State. In Delta State, the All Progressives Congress, Social Democratic Party, and Labour Party and their candidates are challenging the decision of the court of appeal which affirmed the election of Sheriff Oborevwori as the governor of Delta State.
