In a recent development in Ondo State politics, the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Rasaq Obe, has raised allegations of forgery, claiming that the signature of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu was forged on a memo he submitted for approval.

Obe confirmed this information in a letter addressed to the deputy governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa. According to the commissioner, a memo he sent to the governor approximately two months ago was returned through the Office of the Secretary to the State Government.

Upon closer inspection, Obe noticed that the signature on the memo did not match Governor Akeredolu’s, prompting him to conduct a forensic analysis, which reportedly confirmed that the signature had been forged. The emergence of this forgery scandal adds a new dimension to the political landscape in Ondo State.
