The Abuja division of the Court of Appeal has affirmed the Election of Abdulai Sule on March 18, 2023, dismissing the judgment of the Nasarawa state governoship election tribunal which sacked Sule and ordered the withdrawal of his certificate of return by INEC.
The three-man panel led by Justice Uchechukwu Oyemenem in a unanimous decision held that the tribunal ered when it ordered the deduction of 1868 votes from Sule as the David Ombugadu and the PDP failed to prove that there was over voting in certain polling units.
