The leadership of the main opposition People’s democratic party, PDP in Katsina state has split following the recent appointment of a state caretaker committee by the national working committee of the party.

The Katsina PDP under the former secretary to the state government Mustapha Inuwa joined forces with some stakeholders to challenge the decision of the national working committee, an action that has created cracks within the party in the state.
