ongoing issue that has gained increasing attention and momentum over the past decades. Despite significant progress, gender disparities persist in various aspects of sports, including participation opportunities, media coverage, pay gaps, and leadership roles.
Chairman Nigeria Sports writers Association of Nigeria Bayelsa state Chapter affirms this and that SWAN will continue to advocate for gender equality in sports in Bayelsa state to pave the way for a more inclusive and equitable sporting landscape.
