The first rental contract for the use of warehouses in the new logistics park at Guarulhos airport has just been signed.

Managed under Brookfield Properties, the company announced that Anjun, a merchandise company that provides services to Shein, Shopee, Americanas and Mercado Livre, will be the newest tenant of a warehouse with an area of 24 thousand m², according to reported by Estadão.

It is noteworthy that the deal was closed even before the completion of construction of the warehouse, scheduled to take place in January 2024. The land for the new logistics business comes from an agreement between Brookfield and GRU Airport, in which the logistics company will be able to explore the terrain over the next 4 decades.

The warehouse rented by Anjun is part of a set of logistics condominiums within Guarulhos airport, divided into two areas called Aero I and Aero II. Aero I has an area of 43 thousand m², while Aero II will have an impressive 165 thousand m².

The giant development inside Brazil’s busiest international airport will have access to the terminal’s runway and surrounding highways. Furthermore, the warehouses will have customs services on site, contributing to faster international deliveries.

Despite the facilities, renting a warehouse inside the airport can cost up to three times more than the price charged for other warehouses in the vicinity of the airport, even so, Brookfield is optimistic about the search for other companies to operate in the logistics park on its own. high demand.
