Ikotun hosts West Africa’s most visited religious tourism site; The Synagogue Church of All Nations and is home to one of Lagos state’s largest marketplaces; Ikotun Market. The popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Adekunle Gold was also raised in the neighbourhood.
Ikotun Market is one of the largest markets in Lagos State and is available to cater to the shopping needs of its residents. KAF Mall, Twins Faja Supermarket and Sengabis Supermarket are indoor shopping options within the area.
Given the large population of people that reside in Ikotun, it would be absurd if there were not enough housing alternatives in the vicinity. Peace Estate, as the name suggests, is a very serene option whereas Adams and Diamond Estates provide reasonably priced properties.
Ikotun is a wonderful area to visit if you want to unwind. Watch a movie at Filmworld Cinemas, cool off at the pool in Brainfield Event Centre, dine at Food City and Dominos Pizza or enjoy ice cream at Coldstone Creamery.
Even at night, Ikotun bustles with activity. Popular nightlife spots include Ace Lounge, The Place, Club Hardrock, and The Leo Club.
Crestview International Schools, which includes a crèche, nursery, primary, and secondary school, is one of the most well-known schools in Ikotun. Other prominent schools in the area include Fortune Private Schools, Solid Steps International School, and Molan Schools.
