President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has asked all stakeholders in Ghana’s elections to work to assure the consolidation of Ghanaian democracy.
He believes that doing this will help maintain the country’s pride on the continent as a model of democracy in Africa.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo made this known when he addressed Ghanaians in a Constitution Day broadcast on Friday, January 6, 2024.
To him, at the end of the election, there should not be any lingering doubt about the legitimacy of the election.
He also asked that at the end of the election, the country should come together to support the winning candidate because that is how Ghana can strengthen its democracy and the peace and stability of the nation.
