The White Truck Empowerment Initiative (WTEI), in collaboration with the Lagos state government, Global Media Campaign (GMC) and Frontline ending female genital mutilation (FGM), have taken the campaign against FGM to PepsiCo.
The White Truck Empowerment Initiative harped on its message during a courtesy visit it paid to the PepsiCo soft drink brand office at Ijora, Lagos State, on Wednesday, 24th August 2023.
The Head of Personnel, Mrs Yinka Olufade and her Staff members received the WTEI team in solidarity with the initiative’s work and to mark the end of the July summer outreach Campaign against female Genital Mutilation.
WTEI also awarded Mrs Olufade an award for her dedication and commitment to grassroots initiatives such as ending FGM.
WTEI has been going to communities, media, and major stakeholders to spread the message on how to prevent and report the culture of female genital mutilation of girls under the age of 18.
