“In an effort to ensure no one is left behind in the digital age, the Umanu Development Initiative (TUDI) has launched a computer literacy program in Auchi, Edo State. The program, which commenced on April 12th, has brought together over 120 participants from across the Etsako Federal Constituency to Ekhei Girls Grammar School. These individuals will benefit from expert facilitators in the IT/ICT field.

According to Mr. Umanu Ochuwa Elijah, convener of TUDI Africa, the program aims to equip Etsako indigenes with the necessary skills to thrive in today’s digital landscape and contribute positively to the community. The program offers training in various areas, including basic computer knowledge, website design, coding, graphic design, tech skills, and video editing, with plans to expand into more advanced areas of ICT.

The empowerment program was concluded on April 24th, 2024, with the presentation of laptops and startup kits to participants. In an interview with Focus TV Afemai, participants expressed their gratitude and appreciation to Mr. Umanu Ochuwa Elijah and TUDI Africa for this impactful initiative.”
