The Minister of Works, David Umahi, a few days after the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, tasked the Labour Party Presidential Candidate, Mr Peter Obi, to save his time and not appeal the judgement.

Umahi described the victory of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal as a victory over darkness.

He made this known while addressing journalists shortly after in a courtesy visit to the governor of Ebonyi state, Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, at the new government House centenary city Abakaliki, capital of Ebonyi State.

The works minister said that the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Peter Obi, served the purpose of John the Baptize for the divine coming of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, adding that ‘God has fulfilled the purpose to which he (Obi) was brought to do.

The former governor of Ebonyi State, Umahi, said, “I advised him (Obi) not to go to appeal. I am not a lawyer; my son here is a lawyer. He has interpreted the judgment and left no hope for any appeal. Those judges are spirit; they went into everything just like breaking coconuts; you will get the water and the nut, and so, I will advise him (Obi) not to go to the appeal court,” he stated.
