Tinubu, Peter Obi, Atiku: Tribunal has fixed September 16 for judgement – Charly Boy alleges

Charles Oputa, a Nigerian singer known by his stage name, Charly Boy, has alleged that the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has fixed judgment on petitions challenging the victory of President Bola Tinubu for September 16.

Charly Boy, in a post on his official X, formerly Twiter handle, urged supporters of Obi, known as Obidients, to prepare for the judgement.

“OBIDIENTS ARE U Ready? Tribunal (PEPT) has announced that the judgment date for the cases involving Peter Obi and the Labour Party against Bola Tinubu, INEC, Shettima, and APC, as well as the PDP’s case of Atiku against APC, INEC, and Tinubu, is scheduled for September 16, 2023”, he wrote on Monday.

However, there, the Tribunal had yet to announce any specific date for giving judgment.

But, according to the Constitution, the Tribunal has until September 16, 2023 (Maximum 180 days of filing of Petitions) to judge the petitions.

Kemi Filani News recalls that Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the February 25 election and his Labour Party counterpart, Peter Obi, had filed a petition asking the Tribunal to sack Tinubu.
