In a message to the presidential candidates Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, the Oba of Lagos, Riliwan Akiolu, has encouraged them to unite and collaborate with President Bola Tinubu to advance the development of Nigeria.
Oba Akiolu believes that the presidency of Tinubu was ordained by God.
During a recent speech in London, the Oba urged politicians to prioritize the well-being of the citizens.
He stated, “Many things are happening in our country. Politicians may have disagreements, but they can resolve them peacefully. They all need to come together and propel Nigeria forward. Let’s find employment for the unemployed. Our problem is indiscipline and greed. We have strayed far from God. Those who are contented will be rewarded by God.”
Regarding Tinubu, Atiku, and Obi, Oba Akiolu emphasized, “They should join forces and move Nigeria forward. The present leadership is from God.”
Moreover, he advised whoever holds the top position to be prayerful, truthful, and fulfill their responsibilities.
