The Nigerian Army Headquarters has verified that in an ambush in the Shiroro Local Government Area of Niger State, terrorists murdered four soldiers and two officers.
The troops were attacked while on a battle patrol to Karaga Village in the Shiroro Local Government Area, according to a statement released on Sunday by Manor General Onyema Nwachukwu, the Director of Army Public Relations.
According to the statement, on Friday, April 19, 2024, terrorists ambushed troops from the 1 Division of the Nigerian Army. During the fierce battle, the forces valiantly defeated numerous terrorists and took possession of some of their equipment.
