The image was posted by PostaMate, a site that shares satirical content.

This post on X (formerly Twitter) with an image purportedly of King Charles III posing with a Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) agent is SATIRICAL.

The photo depicts King Charles III dressed in military attire, standing alongside an individual wearing a suit and sporting dreadlocks. The post claims the image was taken after King Charles had received clearance to visit Kenya during the Royal visit.

The claim has been shared several times on Facebook, as seen here, here, and here.

However, the photo of King Charles purportedly taken with a Kenya Revenue Authority agent was created using artificial intelligence and is not authentic.

The photo exhibits several inconsistencies, such as the overly smooth skin texture of both King Charles and the supposed KRA agent. Additionally, King Charles III’s hands appear distorted and not in their natural form.

Upon arrival in Kenya, the King was seen wearing a suit, contrary to the attire in the alleged photo. He was also wearing a suit at the State House. The image, initially posted on the satirical website PostaMate, was later shared on other platforms as genuine.

An AI image detector analysis strongly suggests that the photo is artificially generated.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla’s four-day state visit to Kenya marked the King’s inaugural trip to a Commonwealth nation in his reign.

The post follows online protests by Kenyans against a KRA directive aiming to levy taxes on personal or household items valued at $500 and above, regardless of whether they are new or used by tourists visiting the country.

PesaCheck has looked into a post on X (formerly Twitter) claiming to show King Charles III posing with a Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) agent and finds it to be SATIRICAL.
