Reno Omokri, a prominent Nigerian political commentator, recently responded to Peter Obi’s criticism of Ukraine’s food aid to Nigeria.

Obi had called it a “national disgrace” for Nigeria to receive food aid from Ukraine, a war-torn country.

Omokri, however, argued that Obi’s statement was ignorant and that he needed to be educated about Ukraine and wheat.

Omokri pointed out that Egypt had received food aid from Ukraine long before Nigeria did and that Egypt still relies on Ukraine for 60% of its wheat and much of its fertilizer needs.

Despite this, Obi praised Egypt’s economy and even visited the country to study it.

Omokri shared a photo of Obi looking well-fed during his visit to Egypt, suggesting that perhaps the Egyptians fed him a lot of the wheat donated by Ukraine.

Omokri emphasized that not everything should be politicized and that Ukraine is the world’s seventh-largest wheat producer.

The war in Ukraine has not affected its position, and the World Trade Organization, led by a Nigerian, helped to organize a deal with Russia that allowed Ukrainian wheat to reach countries like the United States.

Omokri urged people to Google the information to verify its accuracy.

Omokri believes that Ukrainian wheat is not only bought by the United States but is also being used as food aid to multiple countries.

He called on Obi to stop politicizing hunger and to be more informed about the issue.
