Primate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, recently issued a strong warning to Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party (LP) for the 2023 general election.
In a statement signed by his media aide, Osho Oluwatosin, Primate Ayodele expressed his foresight of betrayal by the Igbos, alleging that they are extending superficial support to the presidential candidate. He stated that Peter Obi possesses the necessary qualities to become president, but cautioned that there are individuals within his support base who will not contribute positively to his aspirations.
He emphasized that God’s will is the sole determining factor for his presidential victory, urging Peter Obi to seek divine intervention rather than relying on the alleged ‘fake’ support from his kinsmen.
Primate Ayodele further cautioned Peter Obi that his movement might encounter disruptions towards the end, as individuals with ulterior motives would infiltrate the campaign.
The clergyman advised Peter Obi to remain vigilant, despite possessing formidable physical support, as he anticipates internal errors that could potentially divide the movement.
He highlighted, “The financial support for Peter Obi will be accompanied by spiritual opposition. There are plans to destabilize the Peter Obi movement, and infiltrators will be deployed.”
Primate Ayodele stressed the importance of Peter Obi safeguarding himself from potential betrayal and internal divisions due to money and greed, while urging him not to underestimate the situation.
