Presidential Tribunal to televise judgment September 6

Unless there is a last-minute change, the Presidential Election Complaints Court will reschedule the hearing for September 6, 2023.

This was revealed by Umar Bangari, Head of the Registrar’s Office of the Court of Appeal, Abuja Division.

Bangari said the decision to live-stream the proceedings will ultimately promote transparency and openness.

A statement from Bangari reads:
“In an effort to promote transparency and openness, these rulings will be broadcast live by interested broadcasters for the public to watch.”

Labor Party, LP, presidential candidates Peter Obi and Atiku Abubakar of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, are challenging President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the February 14 presidential election in court. .

The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) declared Tinubu the winner of the last presidential election. However, Atiku and Obi accused CENI of supporting Tinubu and of engaging in electoral misconduct that led to the presidential victory.
