President Bola Tinubu is scheduled to launch an agroprocessing zone and the Minna Airport in Niger State on Monday. The announcement was made by Governor Mohammed Bago during a ceremony where he was honored as the Grand Patron of the Niger State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists. The completion of the airport, with 99% of the project finished, positions Niger State as a key player in the North Central aero hub. The development includes 1,000 hectares of land ready for use, along with plans for drip irrigation in greenhouses, anticipated to be the largest in Africa. Additionally, a dedicated agro-processing zone at the airport aims to facilitate the export of fresh vegetables and fruits to domestic and international markets.
