Bayo Onanuga, the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has ridiculed the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, and the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi.

Onanuga revealed that Atiku and Obi were unsuccessful in their attempt to legally compel a US court to disclose information about Tinubu.

Referring to Atiku and Obi, Onanuga stated that the conspirators have once again failed.

Sharing his thoughts on X, Onanuga wrote, “Aaron Greenspan, the American agent and contractor of Atiku Abubakar, Peter Obi, and David Hundeyin, loses bid to pressure the Washington D.C court into ordering the release of President Tinubu’s FBI record. The conspirators have failed once again.”

The US District Court of Columbia refused a request to compel the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and Internal Revenue Service (IRS) to disclose information about Tinubu.

Aaron Greenspan had filed an emergency motion seeking the immediate release of documents from the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys (EOUSA), the Department of State, FBI, Internal Revenue Service, Drug Enforcement Administration, and the CIA. This motion was prompted by the Nigerian Supreme Court’s hearing of Atiku and Obi’s appeals.

Greenspan pleaded for the quick release of the documents as they were needed for presentation in the Supreme Court. He informed the court that the Supreme Court deliberately scheduled the appeal hearing for Atiku and Obi on October 23 in order to render his suit before the US court ineffective.

He requested that the documents pertaining to Tinubu be released to him by October 31 at the latest.

Judge Beryl A. Howell rejected Greenspan’s appeal, stating that he failed to meet the necessary requirements for the grant of such a request outlined in the motion for an emergency hearing, which was submitted on Monday.
