The Governor of Plateau State, Caleb Mutfwang has approved with immediate effect the suspension of the 17 Local Government chairmen in the state
The suspension followed recommendation of the State House of Assembly over the inability of the council chairmen to make records of their income and expenditure available to the house.
A statement by the governor’s media aide, Gyang Bere, said the suspension is to pave way for the investigation being carried out by the house.
