Yobe state Governor Mai Mala Buni has declared that “no planned hunger protests” will hold across the state by next month.
He warned that the protest is a threat to the peace the state enjoys.
He revealed this at the launching of Agricultural Empowerment Program where 5,340 farmers were empowered with agriculture machineries and inputs flagged off by Vice President Kashim Shettima in Damaturu.
The Governor said the state will not be plunged into another civil unrest after suffering havocs of insurgency in the past decades.
President Tinubu represented by his Vice Kashim Shettima lauded the initiative saying it will improve food security and increase the farming population of the country.
