It was learnt that another faction of the LP executive had also held a crucial meeting with Sylva, the APC candidate at his Yenagoa residence for possible endorsement.
In reaction to the development, the state’s governorship candidate, Udengs Eradiri has accused those supporting Diri of receiving N100 million to turn their backs on the party.
Eradiri who was a guest on Arise TV News this afternoon also accused the state chairman of Labour Party of being an appointee of the State Government.
He said, “ The party Chairman in Bayelsa State called a press conference after collecting 100 million from the Governor, they sent 50 million to the national and the remaining 50 million is causing trouble here in the state, the national has denied not getting such an amount of money”.
