Formally challenging the outcome of the February 28, 2023 presidential election, Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, has submitted a petition before the Presidential election tribunal.
Dr. Yunusa, the chief Spokesman of the Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign of the Labour Party, revealed this during an appearance on Arise TV on March 21.
He stated, ‘’I can tell you categorically that we have submitted and filed our case against the election that took place on the 25th of February and this is official.’
Discussing the party’s ability to inspect all the Bimodal Voters Accreditation Systems BVAS used during the election, Tanko mentioned,
“No but INEC was able to give us the summary result sheet of what was pronounced on that day. The lawyers have made it clear that we will get all that we can get from INEC and we will demand for the remaining document that is required for the legal team to prosecute its case.”
