Peter Obi Keeps Mum Over Killing Of Two People In Anambra

The Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate in the last election, Peter Obi, has failed to comment on the horrific attack, which occurred in Anambra State earlier this week.

Naija News reported that irate mobs in the main market, Onitsha, Anambra State, on Wednesday, set ablaze two suspected criminals who were allegedly terrorizing residents of Sokoto Road.

The suspects were accused of involvement in illegal revenue collection.

The traumatic incident was widely condemned by many Nigerians, including some political elites and Amnesty International, calling for an investigation into it.

Former Presidential aide, Bashir Ahmad, while reacting to the attack, called on Peter Obi to condemn it and address the residents of the state since they listen to him.

However, it has been two days since the incident, and the former Governor of Anambra State has ignored the call to condemn the jungle justice meted out at the suspected criminals.

Peter Obi, on Thursday, spoke about the incessant fire incidents in the country and condemned the attack on the President of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC), Joe Ajaero, in Imo State.

He also commended the Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, for his concern about the security of the state, following the discovery of decomposed corpses, headless bodies and skeletons at a popular market in the state.

However, Peter Obi has remained silent on the burning of two suspected criminals in Anambra State.
