In the wake of the Presidential Election Petition Court’s dismissal of his petition challenging President Tinubu’s victory, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, has issued an appeal to his supporters, affectionately known as ‘Obedients,’ urging them to maintain their composure.
On Wednesday, September 6, the court rendered a verdict that found his petition against Bola Tinubu’s declaration as the winner of the February 2023 presidential election to be lacking in merit.
In a recent social media post shared from his official account, Obi implored his followers not to lose heart. He acknowledged that the journey towards a “new and different” Nigeria may be challenging, but he remains resolute. Despite facing formidable and deeply rooted opposition, he believes these obstacles are not insurmountable.
