Mr. Peter Obi, former Governor, Anambra State and Labour Party Presidential Candidate in Nigeria general elections in 2023 in quest for improved primary healthcare delivery donated the sum of twenty million naira (20,000,000:00) only to the Faith Foundation Mission Hospital Nsukka, Enugu state.
Obi disclosed, “The donation is my initial support to the Hospital through the Anglican Bishop of Nsukka, Rt. Rev. Aloysius Agbo, to help them commence the building of a College of Nursing Sciences.”
“This is in line with my consistent commitment of investing in the most critical areas of national development, namely: health, education and poverty eradication.”
“Healthcare workers are at the center of Primary Healthcare delivery, which is the foundation of any credible healthcare system. We must, therefore, take the training of healthcare workers more seriously; especially now that our dear nation and the global world are running short of these healthcare professionals.”
Mr. Peter Obi further promised to continue to support projects that will bring development to our nation and be beneficial to Nigerians; a step in the right direction to build the New Nigeria of our dreams.
He then appreciated Bishop Agbo and his team at Faith Foundation Hospital for the bold step in setting up the College of Nursing Sciences.
