The Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party,(LP) , Dr Peter Obi has said his second visit to Plateau state is to commiserate and declare electioneering campaign for the Plateau North Senatorial candidate Dr Simon Mwadkon and Jos North /Bassa Federal Constituency candidate, Hon . Daniel Asama for forthcoming rerun election.
Obi made this disclosure while addressing the supporters of the Labour Party at the Sumji Event centre Bukuru express in Jos South Local Government Council.
He condemned the incessant attacks on the Plateau people which the state is known as home of peace and tourism ,”in the pass civil servants took workshops, seminars and other relaxation to Jos but now nobody wants to visit Jos again “.
Peter Gregory Obi lamented that within two months of his coming many innocent people have loss their lives to this carnage in Mangu, Bokkos and Barki Ladi LGAs .” I most sincerely condole with the Plateau because the town is gradually becoming a ghost town “.
According to him,Nigeria is becoming a ghost town under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu regime due to the current rise in the price of foodstuffs and means of transportation.
He said ,the period for electioneering campaign is over but his reasons when he left Ibadan this afternoon to condoled with the family of a young girl that was kidnapped and killed and explosion that rock the state leading to the dead of many .
He condemned the mindless and criminal situation that is unknown which all work to reverse back dastardly act inhumanity .
Ahead of 2027, Obi revealed that he would do everything possible to stop the criminality in Nigeria whatever it takes, we start with how to recover back the country from lost glory from consumption to production, we used to have produced coming from Plateau state,he said .
Obi disclosed that this country is no longer safe, we came here to solicit your votes, he urged the electorate to avoid people who come around like vultures to buy votes, whenever you collect money to vote you bring hunger so we must dismantle that criminality including those stealing our money.
He explained further that his going around all the look and cranny of the country with desperate to see a better Nigeria for our children .
Mrs Grace Zamfara eulogized the leadership of Julius Abure and called on the people to support him to deliver Labour party as a new political party .
She really appreciated the supporters for turning out enmass to drum support for the two candidates of Bar. Gyang Zi and Daniel Asama won the Saturday election with a landslide victory.
ZAMFARA called for calm in Jos North/Bassa and Plateau North senatorial district to votes for people that can provide dividends of democracy to them .
Meanwhile, Sen. Victor Rampyal Mainasara reinstated committed to deliver the state reruns election to Labour party because the party had structure to win at all level .
