Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to Chancellor Ahaghotu, a talented Nigerian artist, for an outstanding accomplishment in breaking the Guinness World Record for the longest painting marathon. Ahaghotu, currently a sophomore at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, painted continuously for an impressive 100 hours, surpassing the previous record set in 2013.

In a statement released on Sunday, Obi praised Ahaghotu’s dedication, resilience, and commitment to the art, describing it as a shining example of the incredible talent present within the nation. “This achievement is a testament to hard work and a clear indication of the potential that exists within our youth,” Obi remarked.

Guinness World Records officially recognized Ahaghotu’s feat on Wednesday, acknowledging his exceptional effort in creating 106 pieces during the four-day painting marathon. The subjects of his artwork ranged from celebrities to food items, plants, animals, and more.

Ahaghotu, who came to the United States to pursue his artistic dreams, expressed his excitement about breaking the record. “Breaking the record will boost my recognition as an artist both in my school and the world at large,” he stated before embarking on the record attempt.
