Peter Obi Attends The Commonwealth Trade and Investment Forum in Bangladesh

The Labour Party presidential Candidate was present in Bangladesh on Thursday 14th of September, honoring an invitation from the Commonwealth Economic and Investment Council. The Presidential Candidate Peter Obi was invited as a respected and profound Economist, to address the audience as a Keynote speaker specifically on SME formalization and other economic issues.

The Commonwealth Economic and Investment Forum 2023 wrapped up in Dhaka on Thursday with promising claims of enhancing cross-border investment to help improve the economy. The conference which lasted for two days(13th – 14th September ) and today’s closure witnessed nine sessions on Investment, banking, technology, Cameroon’s economy, Pharmaceuticals and public health, SMEs, green finance, Tourism, and international support for emerging economies.

Peter Obi was invited as a Major speaker for the SMEs session. Parallel Facts recall that during Peter Obi’s speeches and meetings especially during his campaigns, references have been made to Bangladesh’s economic success and how it could be interpreted to influence Nigeria’s Struggling Economy.

According to The Spectator Index, Bangladesh leads the chart for the projected Fastest-growing economy between now and 2030. Bangladesh hosted the conference for the First Time in collaboration with the Commonwealth Enterprise and Investment Council (CWEIC).

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina with the likes of Togo’s investment minister Rose Kayi Mivedor, Ugandan Minister Francis Mibisa, and many other highly referenced leaders were present at the conference at the conference.
